Hickory Sheet Metal Co. was started on February 20, 1928 by Lee J.M. Huffman Serving a 30 mile radius of Hickory, N.C., the company fabricated and installed small sheet metal projects and installed coal furnaces.  “Mr. Lee” as so many people called him, developed a reputation for quality work, fair pricing, lasting heating systems, and a customer- oriented philosophy. This philosophy carried over into the next generation when “Mr. Lee’s” three sons L.C. Huffman, Dolan Huffman, and Ervin Huffman expanded the company to install and repair residential,  industrial and commercial heating and cooling systems. Presently, Hickory Sheet Metal Co. is headed by Dolan Huffman and his son Lanny Huffman ( third generation). Under their management and their combined experience of 100 years, the company has expanded its service radius to include upstate South Carolina and most of western North Carolina. In addition, the company has set the standard in implementing the new technologies that have rapidly developed for the HVAC industry. With all the changes and growth the company has seen over its 80 year history, its philosophy has not changed: quality work, fair pricing, lasting systems and a customer –oriented philosophy. “Quality since 1928”
